Hannah C. Biernacki, RN, BSN, attended Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, and was awarded her bachelor degree of science in nursing in 2012. She remains at the forefront of her challenging field via memberships and affiliations with prestigious professional societies and associations. “The excellent BSN program I graduated from in May, along with my experience at Aurora Behavioral Health Care since November, has prepared me to be a patient centered nurse who is passionate about holistic care for individuals as well as communities”, says Hannah. She dedicates her spare time to traveling, reading, skiing, and hiking. “As a student, I worked with an Iowa county public health department to prepare and present a poster about childhood obesity and healthy living. During this project, I, along with 5 other students, researched the community health assessment topic of childhood obesity, surveyed the county, educated at a community health fair, and presented findings to the hospital board and stakeholders”, adds Hannah.
